Welcome to the Dalhousie Urban Garden
We are a student-run and student-funded Dalhousie Student Union society initiative that operates an urban farm on campus.
We strive to raise awareness of food-sovereignty and food-security issues in the community and on Dalhousie campus.
We have 5 wonderful executive members and an intern that help us run the organization. Get to know our team and what we get up to on our time away from the garden.
2012 was our first year of operation, after the successful levy question to become a student-funded society. From there, we have continued to grow as a farm, and as a organization.
to explore the challenges and rewards of urban agriculture While promoting food justice, urban agriculture and student awareness.
We Offer 2 Grant Programs to Dalhousie/Kings Students
Grants for food-security are available on a monthly basis from September to May.
